Have I told you guys how much I love Gaslight Village? Well, it’ll probably be no surprise since I’m back again this week, but for a different reason – pizza!
Who doesn’t love pizza?
I will find you, and I will…
Nestled away in the same corner as Jersey Junction is this quaint little pizza place called Big Bob’s Pizza. With an extensive menu of offerings (you could even build your own pizza) and 3 different crust types, you are definitely spoiled for choice!
They also offer free popcorn as you wait, so brownie points for them!
Although, it did take awhile for our food to arrive… which can be hard when you’re terribly hungry. #firstworldproblems
We settled for the Big Bob’s Deluxe to share, and 24″ is definitely more than enough for 3 of us. Topped with ham, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers, this pizza sure brings a lot to the plate (literally).
The ingredients, however, weren’t the things that stood out for me. I really love the tomato base of the pizza. It lends a sweeter taste, which makes it rather different from many other pizzas I have had (especially those from fast food/chain restaurants).
The dough was just the right consistency – crisp to the bite and fluffy as you chew. Back to the ingredients – even though it was really meat-heavy, the peppers and onion gave it a nice refreshing crunch, balancing the flavors out. I always love mushrooms on my pizza, so that really made the pizza better too.
And, needless to say, it was a cheesy, gooey mess. A beautiful mess. Yum!
In addition to pizza, they also have a variety of starters, pastas, sandwiches & wraps, subs, and burritos. It’s definitely worth a visit!
It’s also pretty reasonably priced. According to their website, college students get 15% off everyday! So hey, more bang for your buck!
